We went to Texas last week to visit Amanda & Michelle. It was a long trip there and back with Paul. We took two days to drive there and two days to drive back. But it was worth it because we had a great visit. We got there Vertran's day a little after lunch to Ryan's and Amanda's.
They live in a very nice neighborhood about 45 min out of Austin. We took Paul and her dog for a walk and went to a playground in their neighborhood. Paul and Phoebe had a great time and we got our exercise before a wonderful dinner they cooked us.
It was a low key afternoon. Ryan had the day off so we got to spend it with both of them. Amanda and Ryan made a wonderful dinner and Michelle got to come over after work. It was so nice to sit around over a great meal and get caught up. Amanda and Michelle are both in new jobs so we got to here about them. Ryan made homemade guacamole for an appitzer ( I love all the Tex-Mex in Texas). Amanda made a nice lite salad and then the main course was Ryan's famous stuffed pork chops and Amanda's poetic green beans. (To know why there are poetic click here.) Last but not least was mini pumpkin pies....yum! We were all stuffed.

I was stuffed but managed to find room for this!
The next day Amanda and I went to buy some fabric to sew a gift she wanted to give for Christmas. We had a very productive day and she finished everything she wanted to make. For a beginner sewer, she did an awsome job!
We went into Austin to see Michelle for the weekend because she didn't have to work on the weekend. She moved into a new apartment a couple of months ago. It was very nice and she had a great view of downtown Austin. We played some pool and shuffle board in her game room. Paul had fun running around. We also went to Zilker Park to let Paul run around and boy did he do that. Michelle brought her camera to take pictures and he wouldn't hold still for nothing. She had to chase him around to get pictures. We had a picnic lunch and then took a walk around Town Lake. It was great weather and a very nice afternoon.
After such a great day we all met at a mexican resturant to eat a great meal. I always look forward to the mexican food when we go there. Austin has great music and great food.
We had a great time and were sad to leave! Both girls are doing great and loving living in Austin. Here is the great skyline.

Michelle got some great shots of Paul on the move. Glad you had a great time. Now I have click on the link to find out why the beans are poetic.
